Today, in a knowledge-based society, innovation is the foundation of improvements and the cornerstone of organizations. The competition of comprehensive national strength ultimately depends on innovative talents. Improving students’ innovative ability is the valuable and desirable goal of Chinese education. Primary school stage is important for the development of students’ creative ability.Through researching on Chinese current education model, developed countries’ primary school education model and the Chinese pilot schools’ experience, this study attempt to build a innovative training model of primary stage which is suitable for China’s national conditions. Specifically the following conclusions:First, the existing training model of Chinese primary school has its unique advantages. Through the "Wu Zi" character education, students have practical ability, self-study ability, interpersonal skills, ability of know black from white, and unremitting quality. While cramming teaching model has been criticized by experts and scholars, but it is undeniable that it has its own unique advantages in teaching students’ theoretical knowledge and common knowledge. In basic terms of innovation capacity, our current training model also has its own advantages.Second, Chinese existing primary schools’ training model also has its shortcomings. Our students are lack of innovational quality, personal knowledge and practical knowledge. In the aspect of innovation abilities’ foundation, our students are lack of practical skills, team capability and abilities to solve the exploratory problems and comprehensive problems. They are also not good at identifying problems, proposing hypotheses and test them.Third, developed countries’ modes of cultivating innovative talents have their own advantages: 1. Innovative character training is an essential element of character education system. 2. Building a reasonable construction of knowledge is the essential component of the mode of education. 3. Structuring the module of innovation is a important part of ability training. 4. The promotion of innovative literacy is the development direction of training mode.Fourth, after years of exploration and practice, China’s pilot schools made a lot of experience. They pay attention to the education of pupils’ creative character and personal knowledge. They also focus on structuring students’ innovation capacity base and promoting students’ innovative ability.Fifth, I constructed a mode of cultivating innovative talents among Chinese primary school stage by “four aspects”, “two balances”, “three abilities” and “three introductions”.
