Reading is the most important part of learning Chinese, to enhance the efficiency of reading teaching is an important performance of Chinese teaching efficiency. After investigation found that in hainan rural middle school reading teaching low efficiency has become a big problem, which seriously affects the all-round development of students’ quality. This article through to several hainan rural middle school reading present situation investigation, and statistical survey, analysis its reason, basically have the following points: one is the student aspect: low reading interest, reading is narrow, the reading method. Second, problem teaching method of teachers, students subject position is not outstanding, one-sided pursuit of external form, ignore the role of "read aloud". Third, the influence of the rural environment, including the family environment, school environment and social environment.Aiming at the above problems, this paper puts forward the following countermeasures: inspire students’ reading interest and cultivate students’ reading skills, optimize rural reading environment. Practice shows that the teachers in the reading teaching in the practice of the several countermeasures for the above can improve the reading ability of students to a certain extent, while reading teaching efficiency has been improved.
