| Developing students’ emotion is one of the educational objectives of mathematics course. So it is important to pay attention to emotional teaching in mathematics teaching. How to carry out the emotional teaching is a valuable research topic in mathematics teaching in junior high school.Firstly, we survey some literatures about the research of emotional teaching in mathematics at home and abroad. Then on my teaching practice, we tried to investigate current situation of students’ emotion in mathematics in two junior high schools of Benhao town in Lingshui and the situation about how to carry out emotional teaching in mathematics by teachers from three aspect: teaching material, teachers and students. At the same time, we interviewed ten students of Grade Three and found the following three results: First, the development level of mathematical emotion of junior high school students in this town is average. The enthusiasm of students to exploring mathematics is not high and the learning attitude is not correct; Second, for mathematics teachers, the overall levels for the understanding of the emotional teaching in mathematics is high, but communications and interaction with students in classroom and heart-to-heart talks with students and care for students’ life are not enough. Third, the implementation of emotion in mathematics teaching by mathematics teachers directly affects students’ mathematics emotion.Basing the above investigation, we put forward two suggestions by combining my own practical experience with theoretical basis and integrating the emotional functions during the implementation of emotional teaching in math teaching. First, there are three strategies for correcting students’ learning attitudes: In the first place, mathematics teachers should correct their own teaching attitudes because it is the key factor to affect students’ learning attitudes; Next, mathematics teachers should pay more attention to guide their students in mathematics education; Thirdly, teachers need to foster students’ habits of learning mathematics. Second, the strategies for developing good relationship between teachers and students are following: Teachers should be honest to students, have a tolerant and understanding of their students, care about their students and do well on students’ evaluation. |
