The initial stage’s mathematics education of junior high school is an important transition of the whole junior high school’s mathematics education. The goals in the Junior High School Mathematics Curriculum Standard explicitly points out that students can adapt themselves to social life after graduation and develop their four bases abilities of mathematics through the stage of compulsory education. But at present, a part of rural pupils’ math score drops significantly after they enter junior high school, and poor students increase obviously because they do not adapt themselves to junior high school’s mathematics learning, which not only directly influences the teaching quality of mathematics, but also indirectly influences students’ academic development and physical and mental health. So it is very important for us to investigate junior high school students’ mathematics learning adaptability, which not only improve the quality of mathematics teaching, but also make for students’ academic development and physical and mental health.There are three chapters in to this paper.The first chapter: This paper in the first chapter mainly discusses the background and problems, significance and methods of research. Then it bases on studying the relevant literature to define the concept of learning adaptability and also introduces research’s theoretical basis.The second chapter: This paper in the second chapter mainly analysis the situation of students’ mathematics learning adaptability in rural junior high school through the questionnaire and interview. At the same time, this paper also analysis several typical cases, and then this paper also finds out reasons why students do not adapt themselves to mathematics learning.The third chapter: This paper in the third chapter mainly puts forward some useful suggestions and the corresponding countermeasures according to those reasons in the second chapter. At the same time, we should design a teaching class to improve students’ mathematics learning adaptability.
