As an important part of Chinese language teaching in secondary vocational school, practical writing manifests the characteristics of an secondary vocational school. An improvement in teaching effectiveness of practical writing in secondary vocational school can help improve the teaching quality of Chinese as well as the comprehensive ability of students, and can help lay a foundation for future career.However, the fact is, practical writing teaching in secondary vocational schools are not attached to much importance and its teaching effectiveness is in a low and negative situation.Therefore, this paper starts with the importance of the teaching effectiveness of practical writing in secondary vocational school. An research on the current situation of practical writing teaching in secondary vocational school was made after acquiring the comparisons about relative theories on practical writing and its effective teaching between inside and outside our country. And in accordance with the studying and researches above, this paper gives an analysis on the key factors that can affect teaching effectiveness. Furthermore, this paper also presents effective teaching strategies of practical writing in regard with teachers in order to provide secondary vocational school teachers who are in difficult teaching positions with theoretical evidence and practical instructions.This paper consists of four parts. Chapter one is a research overview, which explains the research meaning of this project, relevant research concept and major research methods so as to make clear the basis of this project. Chapter two deals with researches and analysis of the teaching situation of practical writing in secondary vocational school. The research object is Dalian Institute of Light Industry, one of the national key ordinary vocational school. And through interview probe and questionnaire survey, it is found that the current practical writing teaching in secondary vocational school is low-effective or even non-effective. Chapter three gives an analysis on the key reasons, including schools, families, objective environment, teacher factors and student factors, for low-effective teaching in practical writing in secondary vocational schools. Chapter four is an exploration in effective teaching strategies based on the researches on the current hard position in teaching combined with effective teaching theories and personal internship experience. It is regarded that teachers are dominants in teaching activities. And the teaching effectiveness is rather decisive for learning effectiveness. Thus, strategy explorations are made from the angle of teachers. Firstly, teachers are supposed to promote personal qualities, modify their teaching concepts and live to learn. Secondly, during the teaching process, teachers are supposed to adopt situational teaching method, case study, and so on. Besides, teachers ought to improve student’s writing skills through imitative writing practice, comparison rewriting, simulation practice and so on. At the meanwhile, multi-media ought to be used as an aid for teaching. All that above aims at improving teaching effectiveness and teaching quality of practical writing. And it is supposed that teachers and students can both get an improvement when the teaching process can really achieve effectiveness.
