In the 21 st century, the global economy is developing rapidly, entrepreneurial economy has become the main power of the future economic growth, and entrepreneurship education also will be the trend of development of higher education. The United States is the first country that carry out the entrepreneurship education in the world, now it has formed a complete entrepreneurship education system. After decades of development, the implementation of entrepreneurship education has not only limited to the business school, it is also very necessary for other major students to accept entrepreneurship education, developing universal type entrepreneurship education curriculum has become an important way to meet the demand of society and students development.Based on this background, this study takes the American university’s universal type entrepreneurship education courses as the research object, through trace the development background and reason-definite the concept-summarize the development process-analysis the situation of case colleges-compare domestic and abroad-reform and reference in the practice to explore the construction of universal type entrepreneurship education curriculum in our country.Maryland university and Cornell university is the excellence and the typical representative of universal type entrepreneurship education, researching this two universities entrepreneurship education courses from the following four aspects, namely the entrepreneurship education curriculum goals,curriculum setting, curriculum implementation and curriculum guarantee to find the characteristics of their curriculum,it is of great significance for promoting the study of our country’s universal type entrepreneurship education course.However, at present,in our country there are only a few pilot colleges obtained certain achievements after years of development, as a whole, universal type entrepreneurship education across the country has not gain acceptance and exist many the problems, including: school administrators lack of correct understanding; The separation between the entrepreneurship education and professional education for students; Course number is limited and has not form a system; Low penetration, a "small minority" feature; Level of teachers needs to be improved. Based on the analysis of existing problems of entrepreneurship education courses in colleges and universities, as well as to compare the merits of a magnet and radiation pattern, learning scientific and rational experience from the above two universities, finally explore the construction of universal type entrepreneurship education curriculum system in our universities.
