A Study On Graduate Entollment System Reform Of Local Colleges In The Context Of Chargin

Graduate education is an important part of higher education, an important way to cultivate talents for society, and a key to improving our country’s national power and international competitiveness. Enrollment activity is graduate education’s "source of life", so an enrollment system which keeps pace with the times is significant to graduate education’s healthy and orderly development. Graduate enrollment system has become fairly complete through many years’reform development. The introduction of "2013 graduate education charging policy" (hereinafter referred as "2014 education charging policy") led it into an innovative period.To comprehensively and objectively understand the current enrollment situation of local colleges in the context of "2014 education charging policy", firstly, give an overview about relevant policies, news reports and research at home and abroad, forming a clear picture of the current enrollment system in our country, and it’s recognized that the implementation of "2014 education charging policy" has an effect on local colleges’ students admission, specialty structure and other aspects; secondly, prepare "graduate education management workers questionnaire" and "students questionnaire", distribute paper questionnaires to respondents picked by stratified random sampling method, and distribute electronic questionnaires through SOJUMP, an online questionnaire website. Totally, there are 1150 questionnaires. These statistics are processed by the SPSS statistical software. Validate previous known Graduate Admissions problems faced by local colleges through findings obtained in the survey; then, introduce institutional change and hypothesis of rational economic man as theoretical support and analyze causes of such problems; finally, according to the conclusion of the survey and late supplementary interviews, put forward workable and feasible suggestions after comprehensive analysis.Studies have shown that, in the context of "2014 education charging policy", the increase of students’apply cost leads to their pursuits of better colleges and specialties; the survival and development of local colleges are influenced, and these colleges are faced with problems like the enrollment crisis, the apply specialty polarization, and great need for professional master. Local colleges can highlight their own characteristics by receiving more recommended students exempted from the Graduate Candidate Test, reasonably adjusting the enrollment structure, implementing flexible educational system, improving the matching funding system, etc. so as to make sure that they can develop with the times under the new system.
