Post teaching practice is an important measure of pre-service teacher education reform, it has an important impact on improving the situation of basic education in rural areas. But as a new thing, post teaching practice and it’s effectiveness need a further research.In this study, the author take literature review, questionnaires, interviews as the main method,take the normal students who joined the 2014 post teaching practice of G University as the main subject. Then analysis the basic situation of the post teaching practice of G University on the basis of the concepts and theories of the post teaching practice, focusing on the effectiveness to normal students. Then reveale the existence of problems and the causes and put forward the corresponding improvement strategies.Part I: The concepts and theories of the post teaching practice. Post teaching practice means the normal students come into the primary and secondary schools, with a full-time teacher’s identity to do education and teaching, after a series of theoretical learning and training in the normal universities. The replaced teachers of the primary and secondary schools come into the normal universities to accept higher education and training. Post teaching practice mainly in the basis of constructivist learning theory and practical epistemology.Part II: The overview of the development of post teaching practice. There are many research on educational practice, but fewer about the post teaching practice. At present, it mainly includes three models : linked to employment, based on a permutation of training, to help the poor teaching areas. And there are three main stakeholders: students, teachers colleges, teaching schools.Part III: The effectiveness and Problem Analysis of G University’s Post Teaching Practice.The effectiveness of post teaching practice mainly includes four areas : the professional affection, teaching skills, management skills, interpersonal skills. Meanwhile, there is a need improvement of the normal students, G universities, teaching schools.Part IV: The Recommendations about Improving the Effectiveness. Recommendations of four aspects: the students, teachers colleges, teaching schools, relevant government departments.
