The teaching practice is an essential teaching procedure in normal universities for implementing the principle of integrating theory with practice, realizing the talents-training target, and also is normal education "pedagogical" symbol. Since the 1990s, although the teaching practice has the characteristic of practicality, scene and question center on the surface, but often because of short-time, sole pattern and insufficient tutors, it has become a mere formality, and cannot play its good practical study role. How to adopt the correct and effective strategies causing the teaching practice to go out of the dilemma is an urgent matter in higher normal universities.Enters for the 21st century, teacher professional development receives increasingly attention, traditional normal education gradually transforms to teacher education, this requests normal universities to renew the idea and to reform innovation in the aspect of teaching, management, service and so on. Since the sixteenth CPC national congress, the party central committee put forward the guiding ideology in the view of scientific development, and the development idea of building an overall well-off society, and on this basis further proposed the grand plan for the construction of socialist new countryside. Therefore, many higher normal universities take reforming the teaching practice as the breakthrough, take serving rural basic education as the direction, and take the rural middle school as the base, making efforts to improve future and incumbent teachers' professional quality, promoting normal universities and rural middle schools mutual development. Understanding and analyzing historical development and present reform situation of the teaching practice, exploring and discovering valid factors that influence the teaching practice, will without doubt have the vital significance for enhancing the practice quality, improving normal students' self-cognition, and for the future development both basic education and higher normal universities.Based on the above knowledge, this research mainly using literature method, questionnaire method as well as interview method researches the theory and practice of the teaching practice' reform in normal universities, its goal lies in from the actual practice situation as well as normal students' practical demand conditions, understanding the effectiveness of the teaching practice' reform, and proposing further assumption of improvement through reconsidering problems in the reform. The main text specifically divides into five parts: The first part is introduction. It introduces the reasons for selecting this topic and the research significance, combines the related literatures, defines the correlation concepts, and explains the research methods. The second part is the teaching practice system' historical evolution in higher normal universities. It is mainly the description and summarization of the teaching practice system' development situation in different historical phases in higher normal universities, through dialyzing the development course, it lays a foundation for researching the teaching practice' reform. The third part is background of the teaching practice' reform in higher normal universities. This part mainly discusses the macro-background of the teaching practice' reform from the theory aspect in our country' higher normal universities, that is the theory of teacher specialization, the integration of teacher education, teacher education system from close to opening, and the demand for teachers in the construction of socialist new countryside. The fourth part is the practice of the teaching practice' reform in higher normal universities. To understand the achievements and prominent problems in the teaching practice' reform in higher normal universities, through the overall investigation of the in-post teaching practice' present situation in Hebei normal university. The fifth part is the thoughts of teaching practice' reform in higher normal universities. According to the problems of the in-post teaching practice in higher normal universities at present, this text proposes development countermeasures and guarantee measures for its further perfect.
