Development of Wushu culture is the process of changing and adapting to constant advancement of human history. It shows diversities at different times in history, and the evolution of Wu-shan Wushu culture is also not an exception in the general trend of Wushu culture adaptation. Relatively speaking, Wushu in Wu-Shan County is popular in the 80 s, and it once was an essential measure to local people. In December 1992, Wu-Shan County was named the first hometown of Chinese Martial arts in the northwest China in Commendation Conference held in Chongqing Jiangbei County. Along with the progress and development of the society, the situation with its past glory is disappearing gradually because social transformation causes cultural changes while Wushu culture develops with cultural changes under modern social transformation. This paper aims to do research on development of Wu-shan Wushu culture.The paper takes the development process of Wushu culture in of hometown of Martial arts in Wu-shan County as the research object by using the methods of literature, field investigation, mathematical statistics and logic analysis and so on. Through a field investigation in Wu-shan County, we had an interview with main inheritors of Martial arts and some directors who are in charge of sports department and folk Wushu groups as well as local school teachers. This paper also analyzes historical and cultural background of Wu-Shan County and various school of the Chinese boxing along with its cultural characteristics. It also tries to sort out the developing track of Wu-shan County and analyzes the evolution process of Wushu culture in Wu-shan County and including research on various detailed factors about the evolution.There was less relevant information on the events and competitions of Wushu due to the civil society did not value written materials, which would be one of the most concerns in the subject of this study. Nonetheless, the paper will focus on typical cases during the process of the research. For example, in the case of Wu-Shan County Yu Ping village, some scientific analysis on demographic changes in Martial arts were made and a statistical analysis in recent years are completed in accordance with a Folk boxer named Ling-shulin on the basis ofmartial arts competition he has played and achievements ha has made. During the research,we achieved deep analysis in various villages and towns and had a face-to-face interview to14 folk boxers, 5 physical education teachers, 3 directors in sports department and 5 heads of the folk Wushu groups. At the same time, we have kept diaries and taken photos about them.Making analysis of the dates we have collected, and we have fully studied the development Martial arts culture in Wu-shan as a martial arts town by connecting with relevant theories about changing of the society and culture. The research conclusions for this paper showed that Wu-shan Martial arts, with its abundant content and profound cultural connotation, of which culture was directly influenced by social transformation. Wu-shan,therefore, as a hometown of martial arts, is actually not worthy of its name. The general trend of Wushu culture nowadays follows the principle of the diminishing content and no successors and so on. In addition, the development of martial arts town is lack of a sound structure and social security systems.
