Study On Talents’ Cultivation In Higher Vocational Edncation Based On Employment Orientation

Over 30 years of practice and exploration, our higher vocational education has got a fast development, and cultivated a large quantity of applied technicians. Currently, with profound changes in China’s labor force structure and the rapid development of scientific technology, the Central Committee has proposed the "Four-pronged Comprehensive Strategy", and required that we must move faster to build a more scientific and appropriate talent structure, and that the drive of developing a sustainable economic should be the human capital bonus not the population bonus. Above all, higher vocational education is most closely linked with economic and social development.. However, there are some problems in our higher vocational education, such as the backward educational concept, orientating inaccurately to run a school and having no clear goal of cultivation. Unable to meet the demands for talent of the industry, the graduates from higher vocational colleges can’t find the suitable jobs, which causes a great problem in the employment of graduates. According to the problems of "labor shortage" and "difficult employment", our government proposes the guidelines of taking employment as the orientation, and points out the development direction of higher education. This article adopts the research method, investigation method and comparison method. According to the comparison of several typical models of talent cultivation method in our country and foreigner countries, some cues to our country can be taken from the several models of talent cultivation method. Through the methods of investigation and interview with some students and teachers of Guangzhou Institute of Railway Technology, we can acknowledge the current situation of the talents’ cultivation of higher vocational education in China, and find out the existing problems and their causes of the talents cultivation of our higher vocational education. On the higher vocational colleges, teachers and students, the article puts forward some suggestions and countermeasures to reform of the talent cultivation model of higher vocational education, with the national policy, the demand of industries, the internal mechanism of vocational education as the starting point, to determine the training model of higher vocational education which takes employment as the orientation and to form a system of "government control, social security and school self-protection".
