Students from Higher vocational college today have become a special andimportant group in this society. The problem of finding job for this special group ofstudents also became one of the important research fields in college ideological andpolitical education. Survey shows that, higher vocational college students may easilyproduce all sorts of confusion and psychological distress in understanding ofthemselves, which leads them hard to choose a job they like or employed by others.This article is starts from the psychology’s angle and based on the cognitivetheory. According to the research of six vocational college and university students inHenan and Hunan provinces, I mainly analyze the background of the new era ofcollege students’ self-cognitive level and self-orientation to their future employmentorientation effect. It points out that the family, school, society and physiologicalfactors such as self and self-psychology may be the deep impact of these highervocational college students.In ideological and political education of daily learning, to strengthen thestudents’ psychological health care, the correct guidance of the studentsself-perception and to construct the students’ self-mental health and adjust ability,not only effectively improve the ideological and political education of practicalsignificance, but also help the students to obtain the right choice and planning whenthey start to find jobs. In this paper, I set out from the ideological and politicaleducation of the service level, put forward the construction of higher vocationalcollege students’ self-cognitive and obtain employment with the combination ofeffective pattern: firstly, from the external factors begin, strengthen the educationand correct guidance that schools and families may offered to the higher vocationalcollege students, and recognizing the reasonable positioning in social relations,create the good interpersonal relationship; secondly, from the internal factors toimprove and develop higher vocational students’ own cognitive ability, promotingindividual cognitive growth, and finally form the mature, rational to lifelongemployment psychological.
