"Modern Educational Technology", as part of the teacher education curriculum, is one of the core courses to improve normal school students’abilities to utilize information technology. Today, due to the sustained development of education informatization in China, it sets higher requirements for teachers and its importance has been universally acknowledged. Traditional teaching methods have been unable to meet the needs of normal school students’skill development. The flipped classroom model has spurred on a new trend in teacher-training education. The flipped classroom has revolutionized traditional teaching model and created a shift from a teacher-centered to a learner-centered classroom, As the focus of instruction shifted from teachers to students, the roles of teachers and students in traditional classroom have been changed, and hence, brought forward reforms in traditional teaching pattern. Based on comprehensive analysis of a large number of publications and journals at home and abroad, the paper conducts an in-depth study of the current development of flipped classroom. Guided by blended theories of mastery learning, blended learning, cooperative learning, learning before teaching, learning pyramid, and the thinking on problems of the "Modern Educational Technology" teaching and front-end learning analysis, the paper designs a new completed flipped classroom model in the Modern Educational Technology classroom. The flipped model in the "Technology and Education" and "Technology and Teaching" classrooms during the first term of 2014 combines comparative experiment with questionnaire survey. The classes are taught with careful observation to analyze the effect of learning. As has been proved, a flipped classroom model will promote interaction between teachers and students; improve the delivery and application of knowledge, strengthen students’ abilities to analyze and solve problems, solidify their technical skills, and in order to provide teachers and researchers with relevant experiences.
