Objective:The effect of 12 weeks backward walking, vigorous walking and taichi training on the stability of the spine. At the same time,we hope to select better sports activities for young students to prevent spinal disease which is cause by spinal instability and provide objective theoretical basis for guiding exercise. Methods:Choose ordinary college students as study objects, which are randomly divided into groups of backward walking group, vigorous walking group, tai chi group and the control group, take exercise for 12 weeks in a row. Spinal indicators include sac/hip J,thoracic spine, lumbar spine, incl. were collected at pre- and postintervention.Take test of Gaitway and EMG at pre-, the 4th week,8th week and 12th week at postintervention during exercise intervention, selecte indicators of displacement of pressure center in X and Z,muscle contribution rate and mean power frequency of erector spinae muscle, multifidus muscle, external abdominal oblique muscle and rectus abdominis muscle in each group. Results:(1) Sacral angle and thoracic spine after 12 weeks backward walking become smaller with statistical significance;incl. have significance different after 12 weeks tai chi (p<0.05).There is no significant difference between each exercise intervention group(p>0.05). After 12 weeks vigorous walking, sacral angle, thoracic spine, lumbar spine and incl. are become smaller, but there is no significant difference.(2)After 12 weeks backward walking, vigorous walking, tai chi intervention, the contribution rate of external abdominal oblique muscle has decreased (p< 0.05);after 12 weeks vigorous walking intervention, the contribution rate of erector spinae muscle has decreased(p< 0.05),the effect of the other two sports intervention is lesser; After 12 weeks backward walking, vigorous walking, tai chi intervention, the contribution rate of multifidus muscle and rectus abdominis has decreased, but there is no significant difference.(3)After 12 weeks intervention the computed center of applied pressure in the anterior-posterior (front-back) plane and the computed center of applied pressure in the medial-lateral (side-to-side) plane has decreased.Significant differences in AX were found between backward walking and vigorous walking(p<0.05).Significant differences in AZ were found between taichi group and backward group(p<0.05).(4) After 12 weeks tai chi intervention, the mean power frequency of multifidus muscle has decreased(p<0.05), the effect of the other two sports intervention is lesser;after 12 weeks intervention, the mean power frequency of multifidus muscle and rectus abdominis muscle has decreased, but there is no significant difference; The mean power frequency of erector spinae muscle in tai chi group is lower than backward walking(p<0.05).Conclusion:In short.12 weeks backward walking, vigorous walking and tai chi and vigorous walking can improve the spinal stability, but have different influence at spinal motion, spinal bilateral muscle balance and neuromuscular control these three aspects.(1)12 weeks backward walking and taichi intervention can improve the spinal motion in different degree.(2)12 weeks backward walking, vigorous walking and tai chi and vigorous walking can improve the balance of spinal muscle, vigorous walking has the better effect than backward walking and tai chi.(3)The effect of 12 weeks backward walking, vigorous walking and tai chi and vigorous walking on gait balance is relatively small, vigorous walking and backward walking has the better effect than tai chi.(4)Tai chi intervention can improve neuromuscular control.
