Objective: through the test and analysis of the relevant indicators of a civil servants' spinal function and spinal posture of sedentary people, spinal flexibility, spinal stability and spinal function to investigate the present situation of the sedentary population. Methods: the questionnaire survey of 720 civil servants in selected daily sedentary(a sedentary group)and their age and sex matched non sedentary habits of 720 city residents(as non sedentary group)as the test object, which is divided into sedentary group exercise group and non exercise group, and according to gender and age(25~34years,35~44 years,45~54 years)were re grouped. The use of Spinal mouse spinal electronic measuring instrument for each group in the upright position(Upright,U),flexion(Flexion,F)and weight(Matthiass,M)level of spinal function and related index test in different positions. The test results were processed by computer software, and the data of spinal function, spinal posture(U),spinal flexibility(F-U)and spinal stability(M-U)were obtained. The experimental data were analyzed by SPSS20.0 software.Results:1.In sedentary group, the number and percentage of spine function and its indexes were lower than those of non sedentary group.A group of spinal function comprehensive mean score 3.12 + 0.75 and 3.23 + 0.67 non sedentary group has significant difference(p<0.01),a group of spinal posture comprehensive score value of2.68 + 1 and 2.83 + 1.19 non sedentary group had significant difference(p<0.05);spinal flexibility and stability of the comprehensive score is not significant the difference between the two groups(p>0.05).2.Between men of different age groups, different age groups of sedentary spinal function scores,25~34 years old,the comprehensive score of spinal posture 35~44years old group and 25~34 years old,the age group of 45~54 and the stability of the spine comprehensive score were significantly lower than non sedentary group, therewere significant differences between them(P <0.01);there was no significant difference between the comprehensive score of each age group of spinal flexibility and non sedentary group(p>0.05).3.Between women of different age groups, the comprehensive score of the sedentary group of all ages spinal function, spinal posture and spinal flexibility were significantly lower than the sedentary group, there were significant differences between them(p<0.01,p<0.05),the comprehensive score of spinal stability 45~54 years old group was significantly lower than the sedentary group, has significant difference between the two(p<0.05).4.The mean score of spinal function exercise group in the sedentary group is 3.24+ 0.73,significantly higher than sedentary group average of 3.11 + 0.72(P<0.05);spinal posture comprehensive average score was 2.82 + 0.91,significantly higher than sedentary group 2.62 + 1.05(P<0.01);there was no significant difference in spinal flexibility and stability comprehensive score and without exercise habits of comparison between the two(p>0.05).Conclusion:1.The spinal function level of sedentary population was lower than that of non sedentary population.2.Between different genders, sedentary people were lower than those of non sedentary group, the relevant indicators of male spinal posture and stability are poor, women are more prone to posture and flexibility.3.Among the different age groups, the level of spinal function and related indicators of sedentary population were generally lower than those of non sedentary population.4.Sedentary people, who have the habit of exercise, especially the level of spine posture, significantly better than those who do not exercise.
