Swot Analysis On Whole-nation System Of Competitive Sports In China

Throughout the history of the development of Chinese competitive sports, it is not difficult to find that the whole-nation system is the guarantee of the brilliant achievements China achieved. However, with the comprehensive transition and deep reform in China, the whole-nation system of competitive sports had exposed some problems not adapted to current situation. This article targeted the whole-nation system, based on the way of data and materials, the way of dialogue, the way of questionnaire, the way of data analysis and the way of SWOT. In particular, the way of SWOT analysis is the principle way. The article deeply analyzed the inner strengths & weaknesses and the outer opportunities& threats in the whole-nation system of Chinese competitive sports. Under the former analysis the article construct the SWOT analysis matrix of the whole-nation system of Chinese competitive sports.There are three strengths of whole-nation system of competitive sports. First of all, the system itself can vigorously guarantee the development of competitive sports vividly. Secondly, it can finish the goals of competitive sports by using administrative methods. Thirdly, it helps to maintain the traditional advanced sports items at the top level. There are also weaknesses inner the whole-nation system of competitive sports, for example, the main part’s multiple roles leads the management ideas confusion; under the administrative system, the costs are too high, and the authorities are repetitive; the whole-nation system focuses on the public benefit which has lead personality to symbolism; the local government concentrates the benefits of itself which has conflicted with the interests of center government. The surrounding of the whole-nation system is favor to trigger national resonance and strengthen the national confidence. The good economical and political environment also gives the opportunity to the whole-nation system. On the contrary, the market economic system has stricken the whole-nation system. It is also harmful to the coordination between the mass sports and school sports. What’s more, some sports items has the capacities to become professionalization, which has threatened the whole-nation system. And the whole-nation system has to face to the lack of reserve force.Recently, the weaknesses and the treats of the whole-nation system has taken a important part. As a result, the system must change itself positively, and the next four points must to be done. First, the system should encourage more companies and social organizations to take part in to the competitive sports. Second, it should separate the engagement function from the management function. Third, it should allow some sports items and some stages to become professionalization and commercialization. Last but not the least, the system should build a bridge from the whole-national system itself to the school education.
