Zeng Guofan was a famous politician、militarist、neo-confucianist and writer in the Qing Dynasty. Though he was committed to politics and military in his lifelong, he had written a large number of classic poems and ancient prose. He was a great ancient prose master in the late Qing Dynasty. Furthermore, in his diaries, letters, poems and articles, there are great length about his experience in reading and writing, and methods in teaching his brothers and children how to read and write. These contents are not only rich but also profound, because there are some ideas which are still fresh vitality until today.This paper attempts to start from the contemporary "speech dynamics" perspective, from the use of modern psychology, pedagogy frontier theory, especially the "life-power language literature" theory, using the methods of looking up literatures, knowing background, comparing and analyzing, induces and collates the thought of Zeng Guofan’s Chinese education from the four aspects of speech power, subject construction, method of reading and writing method. Digs the connotation of "humanism", to comprehensive and objective descript and evaluate his thought on Chinese Education, and hope it is beneficial to the theory and practice of contemporary Chinese Education.This paper considers, that Zeng Guofan’s Chinese educational thought is based to "speech dynamics", it advocates the learners establish lofty language learning aim, pays attention to effect of non-intelligent factors in learning Chinese, emphasizes the learners through own subjective efforts, improves their own moral self-cultivation, forms the tough will quality, cultivates good Chinese learning habits, the last is how to choose the appropriate method of learning Chinese.Today, these arguments is still the standards which are upheld and practiced by a lot of Chinese educational researchers and practitioners.
