Critical thinking is a kind of thinking quality that it can make a self-regulatory judgment under the correctness of knowledge generation process, theories, methods, background, evidence and the standards of knowledge evaluation. As one of most basic and most creative form of thinking, critical thinking is an important objective in subject teaching. This paper systematically reviewed the critical thinking in the teaching of applied research, discussed the structure and the related theoretical basis of critical thinking, and take Pinghe NO.1 middle school of Fujian for example, investigated the high school students’critical thinking tendency and analyses its conditions. The results revealed that high school students’critical thinking was in low mediate level, especially lack of two aspects of critical thinking tendency:analysis and cognitive maturity. Based on the current situation of high school students critical thinking, the author proposed rules about how to use critical thinking in biological experiment class for teachers. And taking "exploring the conditions affecting the enzyme activity" as a course case for showing the practical results of cultivating critical thinking in experimental teaching.
