The instructor system since its establishment has always been the main force of ideological and political work in colleges and universities. The instructor group includes full-time instructors and part-time instructors. Most Chinese colleges’instructor systems show the status quo of "most part-time, few full-time". Part-time instructors is an important part of the college student work team. However, their dual identity characteristic of "Teachers also students" is generally ignored in many universities. For part-time instructors in terms of performance management, lack of a scientific and comprehensive and distinguish it from full-time instructors’performance appraisal system. Based on multi-task principal-agent theory, this paper from the current actual conditions of colleges and universities, combined with my own work experience, focusing on the characteristics of the college part-time instructors groups and performance management present situation, the multi-task principal-agent model is applied to the analysis and research of the college part-time instructors groups, using the method of questionnaire survey grasp and analysis to the role of college part-time instructors, and illustrate the current performance management mode of university instructors for the bias of the part-time instructors. Accordingly, the method of key performance indicators (KPI) is used to improve the design of performance appraisal indicators of part-time instructors in colleges and universities, and then use analytic hierarchy process (AHP) to establish the improvement of university part-time instructor performance appraisal system, finally suggestions and prospects are presented aiming at the improvement and application.
