A Study On Learning Engagement Of Master Of Education Graduate Students

In order to obtain a comprehensive understanding of learning engagement of postgraduate students of education of academic and provide some reference strategies for the higher education management, a research based on the learning engagement of postgraduate students is presented in this paper. The factors and issues that cause the current situation are comprehensively elaborated and some corresponding solutions are put forward. Based on the earlier research a survey of learning engagement of postgraduate students of education of academic is brought out and questionnaires are given to six universities in Wuhan. Questionnaire survey, interview and literature analysis method are adopted. SPSS statistical software for data processing results are qualitative and quantitative analysis in the following 5 chapters.The first chapter mainly presents the main reason, the background, the significance, and the research status of this paper. Then research design and idea are brought out for future study.The second chapter mainly describes the theoretical study of the basic theory of learning engagement. The introduction of the general theory, student development theory, constructivist theory and total quality management theory are briefly presented, which become the basic foundation of idea of this paper.In the third chapter the current situation of learning engagement is presented by the following three aspects of learning behavior. The students’ psychological status, passive learning behavior, low level of learning motivation and low learning efficiency are main issues of the learning engagement that need to be improved.The fourth chapter mainly describes the reasons that short of learning engagement, which is lack of motivation and plan, incomplete transformation of learning pressure and insufficient of basic school environment.The fifth chapter proposes to reinforce the investment of the learning engagement in order to solve the problem of the current situation. Individual affect, education process, occupation career planning and supervisor management are presented to increase investment of the learning engagement by all means, enhance the system of education process, and guide to their education and career awareness. At the same time the supervisor management system should also be consummated.
