At present, the development of adult education in China very quickly, especially in remote education is blossom everywhere, many famous universities have set up a learning center, teaching points in the national scope, and many local education institutions competing contractors to obtain profits, to seek survival and development. However, it lacks the corresponding allocation of government and relevant agencies, not reasonably setting and management of all kinds of teaching institutions, make them for their students in fierce competition in the market. Ningbo radio and TV University Yuyao college, as an adult amateur education based education institution, in the face of increasingly fierce market competition situation, enhance their market competitiveness is particularly important. The pressure of competition from other institutions is more and more fierce, and students decline, the survival crisis continue to increase, so the development direction and even survival has exceeded the social responsibility of the quality of teaching, and other issues has become the most important problem of Yuyao Radio & TV college. In the face of the complex and changeable information age, train of thought, research and innovation to enhance their competitive ability to broaden the need, seek survival and development. Based on the Michael Potter five competitive forces model, from the practical point of view and analyzes the present development situation in the current, the development of the overall situation and the TV University System of adult education and the corresponding RTVU at county level, and analyzes the general development situation of distance education, summarize the competition pressure and the existing problems in the field of the adult education. Then taking Yuyao TV University as the main research object, carries on the thorough analysis from the basic situation, Yuyao radio and TV University over the years all teaching series of enrollment, according to the five forces model of competition the idea of existence of its own development pressure, regional competition, similar institutions competition, the reduce of the adult students and other main problems, and puts forward the corresponding strategy to solve these problems, based on maintaining the original competitive advantage, improve their management level, from raising awareness of service and service quality, development under the teaching point, increase the host number, the development of graduate teaching point remote University, in non Diploma education and campus culture construction and other aspects of the corresponding solution, put forward development strategy to enhance their competitiveness.
