With the rapid development of economy and science and technology, the social demand for talents is becoming more and more diversified, comprehensive and harmonious development of human cultivation has become the main task of universities. But as things stand, personnel cultivation mode with professional education in the college is not fully completed the task, the need to implement general education, and then it was combined with professional education, not only can make the students have a good command of the professional knowledge, but also can improve their humanistic quality, effectively improve the general education and professional education phase separation state, to eliminate the contradiction and conflict between the two, to achieve the "win-win" situation, to make the students scientific spirit and humanistic spirit have been training, in order to meet the market demand for high quality talents. In this paper, through the detailed analysis of China’s university general education and professional education in integration of the problems and reasons, to explore the promotion of university general education and professional education fusion approach. It is important to change the original mode of training talents in Colleges and universities, but also promote the exchanges and communication between disciplines, to break the barriers between disciplines, to promote the steady development of China’s higher education career.This paper mainly uses the literature research method, historical research method, comparative analysis method, in order to understand the fusion status of general education and professional education in colleges and universities of our country clearly,to find the key point for the fusion of two, to explore the effective strategies to promote the integration of the two. Based on the description of the research purpose and research significance, this paper defines the related concepts, in order to promote the research work. With the development of the times, this paper analyzes the integration background of general education and professional education in colleges and universities of our country,and it is summarized as the following four points:the requirements of the popularization of higher education, the development of college students’ own requirements,the real demand for the use of interdisciplinary knowledge, the market demand of comprehensive talents, and analyzes the historical evolution of their status,dividing it into four stages:general education prevailing stage, special education leading stage, over specialization reform trial stage, the implementation and promotion stage of general education, to find the best combination of the integration. Based on it, this paper analyzes the problem of the integration of general education and professional education in colleges and universities of our country:the two different location, the different support, the unbalanced resource, the cognitive bias and so on. Besides, it explores the causes of these problems, which are the backward educational concept, the national policy bias,the lack of teaching resources,the utility of the stakeholders etc. Finally, aiming at the causes of the problems as well as learning from the successful experience of the integration of general education and professional education in colleges and universities in America, this paper explores the strategies to promote the integration of general education and professional education in colleges and universities of our country. Based on the practice and research in many aspects, this paper puts forward a series of targeted strategies, which has important practical significance to the reform and development of higher education system.
