Bilingual education in xinjiang is conducive to the development of bilingual students’ ability.Bilingual students to master the geography discipline knowledge,have geography quality, realize the development of their own capabilities, is the goal of middle school geography teaching.Geographical map reading ability is one of the main geographic ability for students, in learning geography knowledge, solve the problem of geographic corresponding map-reading skills will be applied.With gradual xinjiang bilingual education, junior middle school geography teaching high school students are forming a bilingual common cognitive, geography as a strong comprehensive discipline is open the students look at the eyes of the world.Geographical knowledge, knowledge map content is rich, comprehensive strength, and life closely linked, but junior middle school students’ geographical map reading ability is weak, image recognition method is not accurate, not only affects the student’s understanding of the specific graphics, analysis, and judgment, and affect the students’ learning interest and subsequent learning;In the bilingual students,geographic map reading ability is weak, how to solve this problem is a junior high school bilingual geography teachers and students have to face the problem.Paper as the breakthrough point, to the geographic map reading ability of psychological theory, geography teaching theory and related research are analyzed and summarized, bilingual class students in hotan region geographical map reading ability through classroom observation, investigation of bilingual students how to judge, conversational analysis, graphics process and characteristics.With bilingual geography teachers on students see the problems existing in the process and the causes are discussed, and then through the questionnaire and test for further examination, through comparative analysis of the periodic bilingual students see the truth.From the elementary school teaching conditions, students of cognitive map,interests and habits and so on, analysis factor affect the ability of the junior high school bilingual students geography knowledge chart, and then put forward the training strategies.Finally, through the observation of bilingual geography teachers teaching methods, teaching case, present different content to map reading ability training for junior high school bilingual students provide teaching method.
