According to the experience of western countries, Hong Kong and Taiwan, using the method of group social work intervention in the patients with cancer will help them recover better and improve the quality of life. Therefore, the author used the group work intervention to the patients with breast cancer, for exploring the influence of the group activities which aimed at enhancing the resilience of breast cancer.Through the interview evaluation and the evaluation of questionnaire in hospital, the author catch sight of that breast cancer patients facing the dilemma with crisis cognition, environment and resource, and the resilience level is low, which seriously affecting their daily life and emotion. However, the author also found that the patients with breast cancer possess such advantages as the pleasant personality, good social support,well-educated and so on. Therefore, on the strengths advantage, the author carried out the group work intervention to the patients with breast cancer with paying attention to the advantage of the members in the activities, by doing this to guide the members recognize their potential consciously, which will enhance their resilience and adapt to the life in the future better.After the intervention, the author assessed the intervention again. According to the former and latter evaluation results, the author found that the intervention activities indeed raised the resilience of breast cancer patients. The self-acceptance ability, emotion management skills, social competence, the capacity of well-contact and interaction with the surrounding environment are advancing, and the sense of purpose and meaning are stronger. At the same time, they began to seek and use the related resources which acquiring by multi-channel. Hence, the group work intervention to the patients with breast cancer surely improved their resilience and helping them better face the life in the future. After reflection, the author realized that this social work intervention was just a preliminary exploration of the operation mode, its related theory, operation methods and skills need further improve in the future research.
