Research On The Construction Of Patient Group From The Perspective Of Social Support Theory Breast Cancer As An Example

Breast cancer accounts for about 7%-10% of all malignant tumors and has become a serious disease affecting women’s physical and mental health.Currently,medical treatment focuses more on the disease itself and neglects social support and emotional attention.Studies of breast cancer patients have shown that there is less social support.Without social support,no one can survive and thrive,especially with breast cancer.Therefore,it is particularly important to carry out research on social support for breast cancer patients and meet their needs.Social work promotes the formation of patient group for external forces,which can help patients restore social support network and meet the diversified needs of patients.Through interviews and scale measurements,6 breast cancer patients were determined as the service objects of this study.After further in-depth interviews,it is found that the current situation of social support for breast cancer patients is weak,which is mainly reflected in four aspects.First,the humanistic care consciousness at the hospital level is weak and rehabilitation knowledge is insufficient.Second,social workers lack support,understanding and medical knowledge.Third,the emotional support of family shutdown is weak and the economic provision is insufficient.Fourthly,patients’ communication with relatives,neighbors and friends is weakened.Further analysis of the current situation of social support shows that the needs of patients are mainly reflected in four aspects: the need for rehabilitation knowledge,emotional support,economic security and dignity.In view of the current situation and needs of social support for patients,social workers at the hospital level and social workers level of doctors to explain medical knowledge,nurses to teach postoperative rehabilitation exercises,doctor-patient interaction and other services;At the family level,it advocates medical assistance policies for economic difficulties and establishes learning groups on policy communication skills.At the level of social communication,negative emotions can be recognized by virtue bombing,lifeline,brainstorming and other activities.Through group activities,the hospital realized the importance of humanistic care,disease knowledge provision and social workers.Social workers learn about medicine;Patients and their families learned emotional communication skills,and also understood the medical reimbursement and assistance policies,thus alleviating economic pressure to a certain extent;The patients changed their bad self-cognition,changed their attitude towards social communication,and made more friends through the patient group,thus expanding the scope of social communication.It can be seen that the patient support group is a system that closely combines self-organization and other organizations,knowledge flow and stress relief,emotional communication and social support,which is conducive to patients’ mutual learning and mutual support,thus integrating internal,external driving forces and enhancing their sense of dignity in life.
