A Study On College Students’ Altruistic Behavior

Altruistic Behaviors belongs to ethical Behaviors. And it is the force of social development because of its nobility. Educators will be finding out an effective way to help the college students to behave well through the research of altruistic behavior. Based on a large number of real cases, this thesis is focused on domestic and overseas study. College Students’ Altruistic Behavior will be analyzed from three parts which include moral education, moral cultivation and System construction.Altruism is common in our daily life, but it still causes a great deal of controversy. People pay much attention to subject and object of altruistic behavior, altruistic behavior means, and Purpose of altruistic behavior. And this is our dominant motive to study this theme. It was cleared about the problems of this study background, research significance, domestic and foreign existing research status, research methods and research ideas as well.Human nature is complicated, it was mainly on the definition of basic concepts and clear the theoretical basis of this study, including psychology, biology and ethics. Compared with several concepts about altruistic behaviors, this study elected ethics as the theory support. After reviewing the concepts of ethical behaviors, altruistic Behaviors would be defined more precisely from sixteen types of ethical behaviors.Based on altruism theories, it was found that there are many problems of college students’ altruistic behaviors, which included influencing factors of college students’ altruistic behaviors. we divided influencing factors of altruistic behaviors into two parts which were individual internal factors and external ones. Individual moral cognition, individual moral feelings and Individual moral were discussed to find out how they works on individual altruistic behaviors. External factors included physical needs, wealth distribution and institutional improvement. All those factors should be paid close attention.In the last part, this paper would focused on how to guide altruistic behaviors of college students. Based on contents before, methods would be obtained pointedly to correct college students’ altruistic behaviors and analyzed from three points that includes educators, educates and institutional improvement. Knowledge of altruistic behavior, altruistic behavior emotion and altruistic behavior willpower should be emphasized in education. Learning, devoting and acting are Individual moral cultivation methods. External institutions either makes people do right or being evil, so College students’ quality of altruistic behavior is much more related to these institutions and cultural atmosphere.
