The information of social life and the globalization of economy promote the importance of English to become increasingly prominent. As one of the most important information carriers, English has become one of the most widely used languages in all fields of human life. Education in modern society takes the quality education as the base, emphasizing all the students are developed. However, English in junior middle school, as an important part of basic education, still has many problems in teaching. In rural areas, “students with English learning difficulties” exist largely, and the neglect of their education will seriously affect the implementation of quality education in school.The thesis conducts a survey of English learning situation of second grade students in Zhao’an town through questionnaires, interviews, observation and other methods and finds the main reasons are as follows: the foundation of non-intelligence factors is weak; learning methods are not correct and scientific; the understanding of teachers’ value concepts is deviate; educational resources are relatively short; English learning atmosphere is lacking; the education concepts of parents are deviate and their ways are improper, based on which the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions are put forward: fostering the non-intelligence factors; focusing on the learning methods of students; cultivating the understanding level of “the students with English learning difficulties” in education; improving the teaching facilities and promoting the balanced development of education; creating English learning context; strengthening the exchange among parents, teachers and students. Combining the current situation of English teaching in Chinese countryside, this study conducts a comprehensive investigation and analysis on the formation of “students with English learning difficulties”. It also proposes many concrete suggestions for reducing the number of those students and offers some guidance of learning methods for them, all of which have some positive effect on students’ English learning performance and the education quality of school.
