The tutoring means students receive school education, it is secretly attend counseling or tutoring lessons for their cultural or artistic. Main forms for the various classes, not including hire a tutor. Tutoring has been prevalent in most developing countries in the world, Chinese primary and secondary students to participate in extracurricular tutoring phenomenon is also very common. Relatively, compared with school education, the tutoring has some hidden and difficult to be observed and monitored, but the existence and development of extracurricular tutoring have had a certain impact on the economy and society. Therefore, the study of this issue has some practical significance and social value.This study using the method of literature analysis, questionnaire and interview, by collecting and sorting of the existing research results and data, to have overall understanding of the current state of research and laid a theoretical basis for this study. And uses the method of questionnaire investigation and interview to two primary school pupils and students’ parents of Xu Zhou in sampling survey, the size of the primary school children to extra-class continuation, content and form, spending, effect and evaluation, the respect such as to cause investigation and analysis, fully understand the present situation and problems of the present elementary school students to participate in tutoring. Research results show: Primary school students to participate in extracurricular size obviously and younger age trend; Extra class continuation can make up for the shortage of school education, broaden the ways of learning of students and has the utilitarian effect on Students; Extracurricular cram school mainly for the purpose of profit and the qualification uneven; Tutoring teachers mixed, uneven level of teaching; Tutoring increased homework burden on students, affecting the physical and mental development of students; Tutoring costs higher, increasing the economic burden on families; Tutoring disrupt the order teaching of school and increase the gap between students; Parents compare with each other, blind herd mentality promote the rapid development of tutorial development and expanding the size of the Extracurricular cram school.According to the result of the investigation, on social stratification theory of sociology, culture capital theory to explain why the extra-class continuation in vogue. Finally, aiming at the existing problems and the insufficiency of tutoring, from the administrative department of education to the examination and approval system and the tutorial teacher qualification system, school with extra-class continuation education resultant force, play a social and cultural resources integration function, changing the concept of parental education put forward improvement measures, let tutoring market benign development, give full play to its positive role and reduce its negative effects.
