Education contributes to social mobility to some extent.With the in-depth advancement of the rural revitalization strategy,the living standards of rural people have gradually improved,rural parents have gradually increased their attention to their children’s education,and the degree of educational anxiety of rural parents has also increased.The "double reduction" policy has reduced the academic burden of students,but the educational anxiety of rural parents has not been alleviated,and even spread widely in society,which has a negative effect on themselves,their families,their children and the development of rural education.Parents are important guides on the road to children’s growth,and it is urgent to alleviate the educational anxiety of rural parents.In this study,rural families(including parents and children),school teachers and teachers of educational institutions whose children are participating in extracurricular tutoring were selected as the research subjects.Combined with the theory of cultural capital and the theory of reproduction,the literature method,participatory observation,in-depth interview method and questionnaire survey method are used to deeply explore the current situation and influence of rural parents’ education anxiety,analyze the causes of rural parents’ education anxiety,and put forward targeted and feasible suggestions to alleviate rural parents’ education anxiety on this basis.This study is conducted from the following four aspects:Firstly,the educational anxiety of rural parents’ entanglement and helplessness is depicted.In the current context,rural parents’ education anxiety can be divided into four types: school anxiety,children’s mental health anxiety,parent-child relationship anxiety and employment anxiety,which are specifically manifested in finding secret tutoring for their children,increasing their participation in their children’s education,purchasing extracurricular exercises for their children,and excessively interfering with their children’s educational choices.In this process,the educational anxiety of rural parents shows the characteristics of firmly believing that "knowledge changes destiny",adhering to the "good for you" education concept and tackling tough problems with "explicit anxiety".Secondly,this study focuses on the impact of rural parents’ educational anxiety.Rural parents’ education anxiety has had a negative impact on many subjects.The first is the impact on the individual child.Rural parents continue to increase their investment in their children’s education,which increases their children’s academic burden and psychological pressure,and produces negative academic emotions,reduces interest in learning,and affects physical and mental health and learning results.The second is the impact on the family environment.The increasing investment in extracurricular tutoring and educational participation of rural parents has increased the financial burden on families;Excessive education anxiety causes some parents to have physical and mental problems such as worry,insomnia,and panic,resulting in tension between parents and children,and it is difficult to provide a good family atmosphere for their children’s growth.Then,this study deeply analyzes the mechanism of rural parents’ educational anxiety.The emergence of rural parents’ educational anxiety is the result of the joint action of multiple subjects.This study analyzes the causes of rural parents’ anxiety in education from four aspects: education system,social environment,parents themselves and children’s behavior.At the level of the education system,the uneven distribution of educational resources,the contradiction between educational evaluation and reality,and the utilitarianization of educational purposes are the fundamental causes of rural parents’ anxiety about education.At the level of social environment,the traditional ideas of "learning and excelling" and "everything is inferior,only reading is high" and the mass media have made the current society full of various educational competitions,causing rural parents to panic about educational competition.At the level of parents themselves,rural parents generally have the educational expectation of "hoping for a child to become a dragon and a daughter to become a phoenix",but parents’ unreasonable educational expectations are the main reason for excessive anxiety,and parents’ blind conformity and comparison psychology have also become the driving force of rural parents’ educational anxiety.At the level of children’s behavior,with the increase of parents’ participation in education,they have a better understanding of their children’s learning attitudes,and improper learning attitudes have become an objective factor in the anxiety of rural parents’ education.Finally,based on the above reasons,this study proposes a feasible way to alleviate the anxiety of rural parents’ education.First,it is necessary to reconstruct the education ecology of rural schools,optimize the allocation of resources in rural schools,improve the quality of rural school education,and improve after-school services in rural schools.The second is to change the concept of rural parents’ education,optimize the way of education for their children,pay attention to the example of family education,and clarify scientific and reasonable education expectations.The third is to create a healthy and harmonious education environment,improve relevant education laws and regulations,build a good home-school relationship,and actively publicize the advantages of vocational education.
