The Ministry of Education modified and improved junior middle school Science and Physics textbooks according to the new "curriculum standard"(2011 edition), which had been officially extended and used since the fall semester 2012.In this study, physical part of junior middle school scientific teaching material(Zhejiang Version) and junior middle school physics teaching materials(People Education Press Edition) were chosen as objects, which were widely used in junior middle school science curriculum reforming. The author tried to promote the enrichment and development of physics textbooks, and to make contribution to basic education curriculum reform through this comparative study.Literature method, comparative method, and analytic synthetic method were used in the study. in the macro level, the curriculum standards, structure layouts, column settings, graphic designs, and exercises of the two different versions of the textbook were compared and analyzed, advantages and disadvantages were also compared and analyzed. In the micro level, some cases in two versions of textbooks were chosen and compared in problem solving strategy, strategy preparation and implementation, to analyze the goodness of fit to the curriculum.It is suggested that the textbook of People Education Press Edition had lower goodness of fit to the curriculum comparing with Zhejiang version. Something below needs further discussion : 1. For People Education Press Edition(1) to replace knowledge presentation of excessive activities.(2) to increase the interest of teaching material.(3) to reduce the difficulty of the exercises.(4) to increase the scientific method guidance;2. For Zhejiang Version(1) dispersed knowledge system spread, not conducive to teaching.(2) excessive activities, some experiments is over difficult.(3) lack of the unity of knowledge and process.
