Nowadays, with the increasing number of migrant workers coming from rural areas to cities,their children follow them to come to cities and accept compulsory education there, which we are called trailing migrant children. Based on the increasing number of migrant workers to cities, we should pay more attention on this special and weak group of trailing migrant children. This paper integrates the professional methods of social work into the study on school adjustment of trailing migrant children, with the interview and questionnaire survey of trailing migrant children, as well as the collection of school adjustment relevant materials of them.The students from SW School barely know the current society and their social circle is small.They have rare communication with other citizens in the cities but just have interpersonal communication with their fellow villagers, and just have a few good friends to pay with. This kind of situation has shrunk their social circle to a great degree, and also reduced their contacts with citizens from the cities so that influenced the school adjustment and social integration of trailing migrant children.Through interview and observation, this paper finds that trailing migrant children are still at the adopting period on many aspects in SW School, such as study environment, learning condition,peer relation, student-teacher relation, emotional needs and so on. Therefore, combined with detailed surveys and interviews, this paper analyzes and researches descriptively from five aspects,and integrates group work method into study on school adjustment of trailing migrant children five times in order to promote the integration of trailing migrant children into new environments.It could make them get the supports from their related environment in order to let them really adjust their school life in cities.After the intervene of social work, this paper rethinks professionally about the whole process of trailing migrant children’s integration into cities. This paper surveys the study process of social work from the perspective of service object, which are the trailing migrant children, and finds that when we do the social work for trailing migrant children, the social workers should make the appropriate service plans for them based on their adjustment situation in school. And during the process of service, our social workers also should respect their own wills, keep their enthusiasm of participation in activities, and most importantly help them realize true school adjustment.
