Knowledge Sharing Among Scientific Research Teams Of Universities In China Based On KGM

Knowledge sharing is one of the hottest research topics among theoretical and practical areas. Universities are knowledge-intensive,and the knowledge universities owns is the most distinctive and inimitable resource,which has significant effect on knowledge innovation through researches and knowledge dissemination through publication. But compared to the studies among enterprises, the researches among universities have been paid not too much attention. In order to explore what level knowledge sharing among Chinese universities is at and what mechanism can affect it, this paper presents a conceptual model on knowledge sharing among scientific research teams in universities. With the consideration of the special situation in China, this paper empirically researches the relationship among formal knowledge governance, informal knowledge governance and knowledge sharing, and analyzes the mediating of sense of ownership between knowledge governance and knowledge sharing and the moderating of disciplinal affiliation and research network through surveying 409 members among scientific research teams in Chinese universities. To deal with the data we collected, SPSS 17.0 and AMOS 20.0 are adopted. The results of this study are as follows. Firstly, knowledge governance, whether formal or informal, plays a key role in knowledge sharing. Secondly, sense of ownership, with distinctive Chinese characteristics, plays a partial mediating role between formal knowledge governance and knowledge sharing, and acts as a whole mediation to the relations between informal knowledge governance and knowledge sharing. Thirdly, disciplinal affiliation can moderate the relations between informal knowledge sharing governance and knowledge sharing, while the moderating of research network between formal knowledge governance and knowledge sharing behavior is significant.
