With the re-interpretation of the nature of education and the deepening understanding, the curriculum and teaching are to a new reform. Extremely important orientation in the new reform is increasingly concerned about the student experience and understanding, then the experiential teaching naturally becomes the inevitable trend of teaching reform. The experiential teaching is a kind of teaching mode that respect for students’ life, pay attention to students’ self-exploration and focus on their emotional experience. It is helpful students to cultivate and rich their life and emotion in the process of learning knowledge and skills. The primary village schools as a kind of smaller schools in the village have advantaged conditions to implement the experiential teaching. However, due to various factors, the value orientation of the primary village schools is biased towards urbanization while ignoring their own advantages. Because of using one’s shortcomings chasing other schools’ strengths, the primary village schools have been far behind the end of the education.Based on the study of previous research and the theory of experiential teaching, this paper analyses the theoretical basis of the experiential teaching and the value orientation of primary village schools’ experiential teaching by empirical investigation method, literature analysis method and case analysis method. And it researches the present teaching situation and analyses problems of primary village schools in Guanzhong, north, south of shaanxi provience. Based on these problems, this paper, learning from the existing teaching experience and Tao Xingzhi’s experiential teaching mode of primary village schools, put forward the strategies of primary village schools’ experiential teaching mode from four aspects of teaching concept, curriculum arrangement, implementation conditions and the relationship between teachers and students, achieving the long-term development of rural compulsory education.
