Objective:Medical students understand the status of inferiority, inferiority Students explore factors; the study of cognitive behavioral therapy to improve the role of psychological inferiority college students. Methods:Questionnaire: This study used "inferiority Scale"(The Feelings of Inadequacy Scale, referred FIS), "internal control, Powerful others and opportunities Scale" Shanxi Medical University sophomore questionnaires, analysis of college students inferiority complex psychological factors.Experimental Intervention: voluntary enrollment and met the study criteria as an intervention target 80 students were randomly divided into two groups, with 40 human test group and 40 as control group. Measured before and after the experimental design of the experimental group were tested for a period of eight weeks, once a week, every 120 minutes of group counseling, the control group did not intervene.Measuring method: the use of "inferiority Scale"(The Feelings of Inadequacy Scale, referred FIS), "internal control, Powerful others and opportunities Scale" Scale in the week before the group counseling, group counseling measure knot after two weeks, using repeated measurement methods used for statistical analysis. Results:1. The survey findings:(1) The mean and standard deviation for Medical Students inferiority Scale 118.97 ± 19.950, the average score for each question 2.77, in descending order of average five dimensions of social self-confidence> esteem> learning> Physical> appearance, the overall score in the middle level. Locus of control scale in the mean and standard deviation for each subscales were, internal resistance(I) was 32.36 ± 5.167, powerful others(P) was 22.86 ± 5.927, opportunity(C) was 22.31 ± 5.986, and often mold close.(2) Demographic factors: There is no significant differences in professional at Medical students in the sense of inferiority scores, but in gender(F = 4.485, P <0.01)、ground source(F = 5.196, P <0.01)and only-child(F = 6.127, P <0.01), the differences are significant.(3) The locus of control scale, the internal resistance(I) was positively correlated with the total score of inferiority(P <0.01), powerful others(P) from the humble sense out of a negative correlation(P <0.01), opportunity(C) scores were negatively correlated with inferiority(P <0.01).(4) Found that the main factors affecting college students inferiority of internal locus of control is internal(I), powerful others(P), opportunity(C), sex, students, the only child by regression analysis. By stepwise regression analysis showed that all the regression equations are included internal factor, internal factor to some extent determines the development of the dependent variable.2. Intervention findings:Respectively, measured before the intervention, the indicators measured after repeated measures analysis of variance showed that: the presence of the test group and the control group inferiority degree difference between the groups, but significant differences(F = 50.036, P<0.01). Regression analysis showed that: the amount of internal changes(posttest- pretest), changing the amount of power of other people(posttest- pretest), appearance of inferiority affects(R2 = 0.383, P = 0.013). Conclusions:Mean and standard deviation Medical students at the middle level of inferiority. Medical students of inferiority by Locus of Control. In demographic variables, gender, students, the only child and other variables that affect college students inferiority complex. There is a significant correlation between Students’ self-esteem and locus of control, through the intervention of internal factor, can reduce college students inferiority to some extent.Cognitive behavioral counseling is an effective intervention. Cognitive behavioral counseling can reduce college students’ sense of inferiority, improve locus of control, which can help reduce the inferiority Medical College Students.
