The Research On Relation Between Urban Residents’ Cultural Consumption And Welfare Level In Shaanxi Province

In recent years, with our country’s development, there are many social problems as "haze days", "help or not," “difficult to entrance school”. The welfare of the residents is not synchronized with the level of economic increase. The fundamental development is the development of the people.How to improve the welfare of the residents, enhance their sense of happiness has become a social problem. The basic formula of cultural economics, proposed by Tadashi Datai and Urakawa Yasuhiro, "life richness(happiness) = the power of culture *the power of economy " gives us a direction to explore. As a higher level of economic development, cultural needs of the people become the main aspect of contradiction. Therefore,this paper chose to focus on cultural consumption and welfare. Shaanxi province has a long history; it’s rich in cultural resources. It has a good environment to enhance the level of cultural consumption, and as a western province, Shaanxi has the demonstration and guiding role to other Western region. In addition, based on China’s basic national conditions, urban residents are more important in the national’s economy and social development. Therefore,we select urban residents as the research object.In this paper, Based on the statistical data of 2001-2011 in Shanxi Province, by using theoretical deduction and quantitative research methods.Through the cultural consumption and the power of cultural, the power of cultural and the power of economy, cultural consumption and the power of economy, analyzing the relationship between the cultural consumption and welfare, and explore the influence factors of cultural consumption for urban residents in Shaanxi province, Research results are as follows:1. Cultural consumption and the power of cultural have a significant positive correlation;the power of cultural has a positive impaction on the power of economy, increasing culturalconsumption to promote economic strength. On the whole, the level of cultural consumption upgrade, increase the richness of the lives of residents, enhance the welfare level;2. Urban residents’ income level, living standard, consumption concept and public cultural services are important factors of culture consumption expenditure of urban residents in Shaanxi province;Finally, this paper gives some suggestions to improve the income level of residents,improve living standards, change consumers’ attitudes and increase public cultural expenditure in order to increase residents’ cultural consumption expenditure, and enhance the level of welfare.
