With the continuously push forward of the development of global democratization process, the wave of democratization has spread to the education area, it has been a universally goal and commonly trend that the education get democratized. Our country has been inevitably affected by the trend of the democratization of education.To promote China’s continuous progress of educational democracy, our country has started a new round of the curriculum reform since 2001. The key to the implementation of curriculum reform lies in the curriculum implementation and it is carried out by means of classroom teaching, so it is closely linked between democratic classroom teaching and curriculum reform, it advocates that democratization should applied in teaching practice and high school political lesson lies in a particularly special status for it is not only a mental course more important is also shouldering the heavy responsibility of moral education. At the same time, it shows a strong political and class nature compared with other subjects. The aim of political teaching has always been the political and utilitarian target service, blindly indoctrination and political theory and the blindly pursuit of high rate with neglecting the ideological and political course itself,which influenced by the personal pursuit of the whole society. On one hand, in political teaching, the students’ subject status is not reflected and their autonomy can not been played properly and the rights of students as learners should enjoy democratic has been deprived. This paper conducted a questionnaire survey and interviews of teachers in four different high schools in different areas of Sichuan Province, and the students there also were observed, thus the author gets to know the current situation of political teaching that nowadays most political classes are teacher- centeredness with few students involving in the class, and cramming method of teaching still commonly appears in the political teaching with students rights denied in the process of democratic teaching. Everlasting single evaluation of teaching still universally exists in this area.Based on this, the author deeply analyzes the reasons of the existence of these non-democratic phenomena.Finally,five measures are taken to promote teaching implementation of democracy in high school political lesson becomingreality:changing ideas and establishing democratic consciousness;creating a democratic atmosphere and teaching students in accordance with their aptitude;loving students and respecting their democratic rights;developing teacher-students democratic teaching ability and teaching democratically;contributing multiple evaluations and setting the democratic evaluation mechanism.
