A Case Study On Training Contestants Of The 8th "Chinese Bridge" Chinese Proficiency Competition For Secondary School Students In Bulgaria

Abstract/Summary:
In the worldwide, the influence of "Chinese Bridge" Chinese Proficiency Competition for Secondary School Students has gradually enhanced. The students from secondary school who study Chinese are full of enthusiasm of learning Chinese so that they can take this competition. All the teachers, students, and the student’s parents from Chinese classes regard it as a very important contest in Bulgaria. In this study, we choose the three contestants who take participate in the competition from 138 School, Sofia, Bulgaria, in 2015 as the research objects. We take the method of case study to record the experience of training. And we use the theory of multiple intelligences to analyze the advantages of the contestants. We would like to help the contestants to enhance their multiple intelligences and give some suggestions for Chinese teachers. In order to provide reference for overseas Chinese teaches and provide some ideas for the future volunteer teachers’ training, we analyze the questions we meet in the training process.This study has 3 phases. The first phase is preparation, it lasted 3 weeks; the second phase is training, it lasted 8 weeks; the third phase is summarization, it lasted 1 weeks. In the process of training, we use the way of taking interviews, observation, recording to collect the data. In the one hand we main use some research methods of qualitative research, in the other hand, we also use some methods of the quantitative research, for example, questionnaire. This paper is divided into five chapters:The first chapter is introduction, including the reasons that we chose this topic, literature review, basic concepts, and the plan of study.The second chapter will briefly introduce the intelligence advantages of contestants and the intelligence tendency of the contest.The third chapter is the training plan, specific training process and recommendations.The fourth chapter is the analysis of the result.The fifth chapter is the conclusion. Including some reflections of the contestants, and make some suggestions for the teachers who will do this.
