Cooperative spirit is a new requirement for the quality of citizens in the modern society. In order to cultivate the citizens’ cooperative awareness, our country and even the whole world pays more and more attention to the cooperative learning. In our country, the new curriculum standards guide students to cooperate and exchange and make it as the content of the new curriculum standard. So the teachers should make teaching objectives of cultivating cooperative awareness and ability in the process of teaching and learning. In the schools which located between urban and rural areas, most of the students have gone to the urban areas. The number of good students is small and the majority of them have poor and bad learning habits. Many students’ parents are migrant workers, some other students’ parents also have poor education background, which makes the students lack of cooperation consciousness and habits in study. As a result, students confront a lot of problems in their study and life.Firstly, this paper introduces the background and significance of the study on the cooperative learning in the urban and rural areas. Secondly, the relevant knowledge of the cooperative learning in groups is discussed. Some basic concepts and theories of the cooperative learning in groups are introduced. What’s more, it introduces the situations of cooperative learning in our school. Then it summarizes the situations and problems of cooperative learning in groups in our school by analyzing the process of teaching, questionnaire investigations and interviews, etc. In the process of questionnaire investigations and interviews, more than one half of teachers and students admit the necessity of cooperative learning in groups. By interviewing the headmasters, most of them think students become more united after the cooperation, which strengthens Class Cohesion.Firstly, the school doesn’t make clear rules about the division of labor for the teachers, so it is not clear for the teachers about what to do and how to do. Secondly, the class has not set up the concrete operational evaluation criteria and it has no clear evaluation system for cooperative learning. In the end of the article, the paper gives the corresponding countermeasures for school’s situations from the school, headmasters. As for the school, the train should be strengthened to improve teachers and students’ cooperative skills. As for the headmasters, they should compare and assess the class including the cooperative learning. According to the detailed rules of comparison, headmasters should divide the groups reasonably and summarize the situation of the group cooperative learning timely. Finally, as for the math teachers, they should develop systems at the basic of class appraisal system and play well the role of fuglemen.
