ObjectiveThe main objective of this article is to investigate the current situation of subjective well-being (SWB) among graduates of Clinical Medicine Science, and to analyze those factors which affect the SWB in this particular group. After that, this article introduced the current situation of new media usage and the willingness to promote SWB using new media. Combing this methodology with my previous investigation, this article provided the feasibility basis of the intervening measure which utilizes WeChat to promote SWB.MethodsThis article took Chongqing Medical University as testing site, then randomly chose one of grades majored in M.S. (Master of Science) in Clinical Medicine Science. In total,139 questionnaire were distributed and 111 of them came back as valid responses. This article utilized Oxford Happiness Inventory (OHI) questionnaire and Dysfunctional Attitudes Scale (DAS) as the research tools to look into the current situation of SWB of the test group. By comparing the SWB difference of demographic characteristic, disposition and psychological feature in the test group, this article analyzed the relationship between SWB and DAS and came into the conclusion of the influencing factors. Meanwhile, this article explored the current situation of new media usage in the test group as well as the willingness to promote SWB using new media, and finally summarized the feasibility of intervening measure using WeChat.Results① The average score from Clinical Medicine Science graduates is 66.76±9.66 with the highest mark of 94 and lowest mark of 38.② In the perspective of general demographic characters, the students having lower educated parents indicate lower SWB than those having higher educated parents (t=-2.385, P<0.05); There is no statistical significance to consider factors such as gender difference, origin of students, monthly living cost or whether being the only child in the family (P>0.05). In the perspective of disposition and psychological feature, the students loving group activities indicate higher SWB (t=2.626, P< 0.05); The higher academic pressure comes with lower SWB (F=9.722, P<0.001); Also the higher employment pressure comes with lower SWB (F=4.585, P<0.05); The students more satisfied with their own lives also have higher SWB (F=8.417, P<0.001); Students who identify themselves as high happiness level have higher SWB (F=10.447, P< 0.001); Students who chose "Comparing with my own dream" and "Comparing with the past self’as the happiness benchmark have higher SWB than whose who chose "Comparing with others" and "Expectation and anxiety of the future" (F=4.137, P<0.05). Those who chose "Comparing with the past self’ have the highest SWB, however, those who chose "Expectation and anxiety of the future" have the lowest SWB. Students with outgoing personality have higher SWB than those who have introverted personality (t=3.284, P <0.001)③ DAS total score and all the related factors are negatively correlated to the SWB of Clinical Medicine Science graduates.④ Among the 111 valid responders,46% of them have heard of new media; 98.2% of them use WeChat App with 54.1% frequent users; 83.9% of them believe WeChat has more or less influence on SWB; 80.2% of them are willing to receive S WB-promoting QQ instant message.Conclusions① The SWB of Clinical Medicine Science graduates is currently in medium level.② The influencing factors include parents’ educational level, disposition, attractiveness to group activities, academic and employment pressure, life satisfaction, self-happiness level, the benchmark of happiness. The dangerous factors include introverted personality, high academic pressure, and choosing "Expectation and anxiety of the future" as the happiness benchmark.③ The higher DAS score comes with lower SWB level.④ The Clinical Medicine Science graduates have the highest usage rate of WeChat, and they show strong willingness to accept WeChat as the intervening measure to promote SWB.
