Cultural foundation courses not only for students to receive lifelong education, continue to learn to do a good job in the basic knowledge of reserves, but also to students to master professional skills, to learn to lay a solid foundation of professional knowledge. As an academic research field, the cultural basic course in vocational education is being studied by many scholars at home and abroad. But compared with the occupation education in western developed countries, our country occupation education, especially secondary occupation education is facing a lack of stamina, slow development, weak foundation and other defects, various problems and contradictions emerge in an endless stream, the more prominent is that a considerable part of occupation schools only pay attention to professional skills education, while ignoring the role and position of cultural foundation the course, pay attention to one sidedness, only emphasize practicality, so in fact the aim of running there by mistake, instead of occupation education occupation training school, so it’s hard to cultivate talents with both learning and transfer ability, and to master the skills, it is an inevitable requirement of the future education, occupation facing the world, facing the modernization and the route one must take.In order to solve the problems of the dislocation and absence in the teaching of cultural foundation in vocational education, this article analyzes the current situation and existing problems of cultural basic course teaching in vocational school, and puts forward some suggestions. The full text is divided into five parts, each part of the content is summarized as follows:The first part mainly analyzes the background and significance of the research, the domestic and foreign research status, research methods, etc.. The second part is the theoretical overview section. Firstly, several core concepts, followed by the analysis of the basic elements of teaching quality and the factors that affect the quality of teaching, at the same time, this paper discusses the position and function of the cultural basic courses in vocational education. The third part is the investigation and analysis of the present situation of the vocational school culture basic course. The object of the study is to select the teachers and students in five secondary vocational schools in our province, and to analyze the results of the survey. The fourth part is to ensure the quality of vocational school culture basic courses, from the further change of education ideas, strengthen vocational school culture basic course and teaching quality construction, strengthen the construction of teachers team construction and so on. The fifth part is the conclusion and prospect.
