In recent years, music schools in china have offered almost all kinds of majors related to music, such as musicology. The vacancies have been increased gradually. The scale of colleges joining the provincial entrance examination has been expanded too, improving the number of musical test-takers. The number of students specialized in vocal music in senior high school, a part of the test-takers, has been increased a lot. Compared to the study of other teaching fields in musical education in china, the study of professional teaching for students who want to take the music test, has attracted more attention. But the related teaching models and methods are not mature. The writers teaching in front-line has found the phenomenon that students are weak in knowledge accomplishment on music and lack the ability in rhythm. Therefore, the author deeply realizes the urgency of teaching rhythm for students specialized in vocal music.The rhythm training of students with vocal music specialty is different from the simple music teaching in middle or primary school and the specialized training in colleges and universities. The study is based on the experience of predecessors. It also considered students’ present states and learning and the enrollment criteria in order to find the appropriate teaching model and method. The study also aims at attracting the attention of professionals so that they can concern the development of the examinee and care more about students’ professional learning and growth. This study may attract more music professionals to carry out teaching research in this field, which can make the area more mature for the sake of promoting the health development of vocal special immortal.The author has consulted the related teaching methods and theories in China and abroad and combined the characteristic and learning situation of students in the high school where the writer works. Consulting the above surveys, the writer analyzed the questions and found the reasons. In the study, the author puts forward the strategies and advices about rhythm training for students specialized in vocal music. As a result, the effective and scientific teaching model will be established. The thesis aims at fostering the rhythm ability in comprehensive with many approaches. Such as, enriching the subject sets, innovating teaching methods, increasing the construction of teaching staff and carrying out the musical practical ability, and laying emphasis on the pre-training of students in middle school, etc.Rhythm, melody, and harmony have closely connection, which is perfectly reflected in music pieces, in the teaching methods for rhythm training. For example, combining a large number of classic works in China and abroad, connecting the theories with music acoustics to make the boring and abstract knowledge figuratively. Integrating the music score, teachers can train rhythm by listening, singing, recording and writing. Teachers also should foster students how use the body rhythm into music rhythm. For connecting mind and body can deal with the separation of innovation and mood, so that students can become a music performer filled with vitality.Taking Gaoyang Senior High School in Baoding for example, the writer has conducted the study for rhythm training. Some rhythm teaching achievements and introspection are also presented in this thesis through analyzing college entrance examination achievements in recent years and experience of classroom teaching. The effective rhythm training in teaching can not only promote the test scores and master the music abilities and skills, but also improve students’ musical overall quality and performance.
