The Reserch Of Chuo Jiao(poking Feet)’s Inheriting Situation In Hebei Province

Chuo Jiao(Poking feet), originated in the north of China, is a kind of Wushu fist which is good at legs and feet Kung Fu. Through more than one hundred and fifty years spread and development, it has become an outstanding fist with relatively stable inheritance, clear structures, outstanding techniques, different schools and strong local characteristics so that it enjoys the reputation of “the most excellent fist in North China”. Chuo Jiao(Poking feet) is mainly inherited from four counties of Hebei province, which are Raoyang County in Hengshui, SuNing County in Cangzhou, Li County in Baoding and Gu’an County in Langfang.The paper defines the concept of Chuo Jiao(Poking feet) by using the methods of literature materials, interviews, investigations, comparation and mathematical statistics. It deeply studies Chuo Jiao(Poking feet) about its historical origin, inheriting regions, inheritance veins, technical system, style features, heritage values and present situation. Through the investigations of the four mainly Chuo Jiao(Poking feet) inherited counties and the interviews to the inheritors on face to face, the paper demonstrates the origin, development and inheritance of Chuo Jiao(Poking feet) from many aspects. Based on Materialist dialectics thoughts and the principles of protection, crosscheck, discrimination and elaboration, the paper discriminates and analyzes the obtained materials in detail in order to make the techniques and the theoretic system of Chuo Jiao(Poking feet) become more clear. Through the study, conclusions are as follows:Firstly of all, in terms of the historical origin, Chuo Jiao(Poking feet) is started from Song Dynasty, preliminary formed in Ming Dynasty and finalized in Qing Dynasty. It is inherited in the Republic of China and promoted in New China. Its’ spread across Hebei Province is in modern times.Secondly, in terms of the technical evolution, Chuo Jiao(Poking feet) martial arts experienced the evolution of four periods: the Zhizi(Song dynasty) which based on techniques of one single leg, the Yuanyang Jiao(Yuan dynasty) which uses both legs and arms,the Chuo Jiao(Poking feet)(Qing dynasty) which with clear theoretic and the Chuo Jiao Fanzi(since the Republic of China) which absorbs the innovations.Thirdly, in terms of the distribution of Chuo Jiao(Poking feet), its characteristics in Hebei Province are local colony, imbalanced development and different techniques. Through three or four generation’s inheritance, it now has become a changeable fist in techniques and styles which developed into Hebei Chuo Jiao, Dongbei Chuo Jiao and Beijing Chuo Jiao.Finally, in terms of the current situation of inheritance, Chuo Jiao(Poking feet) is facing bottlenecks of diverse development which include unbalanced regional development; unqualified successors; without enough government supports and estimations about its own; lacking of external propagation and digital construction; monotonous inherited content and low inherited consciousness. To speed up the inheritance, Chuo Jiao(Poking feet) should based on the perspective of intangible cultural heritage, the integration strategy of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and the coordinated development of three big community etc.
