Primary and middle school sports talented students will be important members of junior high schools and even reserve talents in local sports department. With the all-round development of physical quality, skills and tactics, these sports talented students will become the provincial and even national reserve sports talents. Primary and middle school students with sports specialty are a group of students who always arouse general concern from teachers and other students, for the primary school sports talented students themselves, there are two reasons why they have been receiving special or a number of training since the very beginning of the primary school: some family support their children for cultivating their interest; the other hold the attitude that PE creates a better future. While for middle school sports talented students, they receive training for the purpose of earning honors for the school as well as improving the entrance rate for high school.Proceeded from the PE tradition project schools and the schools which are PE featured, this paper studies and analyzes the present connecting situation of the sports talented students. Using the methods of documentary analysis, questionnaire survey, interview and other research methods, 200 parents and 200 students from 5 middle schools, 5 primary schools, 50 PE teachers, 50 teachers of other subjects are given the survey in order to understand the basic information, learning and training, graduation and other aspects of sports talented students and to know the problems existing in the process of connection. After the analysis, the author puts forward some advice and countermeasures, so as to reduce the student loss rate at the grass- roots level branches and to transport PE talents for the nation. The research results indicate that:1 Training for Taicang primary school sports talented students can be carried out normally; more than 60%primary sports talented students like their own training program; 30%parents support their children’s training while 40% do not; school coaches are in lack of strong training initiative.2 Taicang middle school sports talented students have less training time; 70% of them like their own training programs; In the questionnaire, 50 percent of the parents made it clear that they do not support their children to participate in training; school coaches have higher training intention to realize self value through guiding a team.3 In Taicang primary and secondary schools, the situation of further development of sports talented students is not optimistic. The implementation of effective convergence is held up especially because of the fully accordance to district enrollment, the imperfect rewarding system, parents who are not so supportive as well as the entrance pressure and other factors.4 from the point of view of students, their interest, attitude, individual differences, learning pressure and other reasons have led to the loss of part of primary and secondary school sports talented students.5 Parents and teachers attach more emphasis to students’ grades. Subjects(especially in the junior middle school) learning plays an important part. Regardless of the quality of the results, most of the parents and teachers advocate that students should put more effort into the learning of basic knowledge.Therefore, the author puts forward the Countermeasures of effective convergence of the sports talented students in primary and secondary schools in the following aspects:1 Improve the management system of sports talented students in primary and secondary schools, and pay attention to the development of the students in the school.2 The government departments should use administrative means to regulate the PE featured school.3 Strengthen the cohesion of the PE culture between primary and middle schools.4 Encourage and guide the parents to participate in the educating, training and promotion work for the talented students.
