How to effectively do a good job in the connection between junior high school and primary school teaching has always been an important issue in teaching,and number and algebra are the most important and basic content in the compulsory education stage.Teachers' understanding of the "connection between primary and secondary schools" in the number and algebra part will directly affect the teaching effect in the transition stage of primary and junior high school.In view of the fact that there is no research on junior high school mathematics teachers' understanding of "primary and secondary school convergence problem" in southern Xinjiang.Therefore,this paper chooses junior high school mathematics teachers in southern Xinjiang as the research object,takes number and algebra as an example,and uses questionnaires and interviews to investigate 100 selected teachers.In order to understand the status quo of junior high school mathematics teachers' understanding of "primary and secondary school convergence problem" in southern Xinjiang,and analyze the main factors affecting the understanding of "primary and secondary school convergence problem" in logarithm and algebra part of junior high school mathematics teachers in southern Xinjiang,and then put forward the improvement countermeasures.The results show that: the junior high school mathematics teachers in southern Xinjiang have a low level of understanding of the important differences in the thinking of primary and secondary school students,the knowledge content of the connection between primary and secondary school mathematics,and the treatment of the connection teaching;Age and the highest educational background significantly affect the junior high school mathematics teachers' understanding of students in southern Xinjiang;The length of teaching has a significant impact on the three aspects of junior high school teachers' understanding of the "primary and secondary convergence problem" in logarithm and algebra;Participation in the training has a significant impact on junior high school teachers' understanding of students in southern Xinjiang,as well as the understanding of the connection between logarithm and algebra.On this basis,this paper puts forward that the education management department should organize training and research activities related to the connection of primary and secondary mathematics,and young teachers should also pay attention to their own learning and growth.
