As a new teaching resource, the microlecture, with its short teaching videos, draws the attention of the teachers and enables the students to make good use of the fragmented time to study and think. The application of microlecture in the history teaching in junior high school, therefore, will have great theoretical and practical importance in improving history teaching reform, innovating history class teaching methods, and raising the teaching efficiency.This thesis is composed of three parts: the introduction, the main body and the conclusion. It elaborates on the causes and significance of the choice of the topic and the present situation both home and abroad, and analyzes and reflects the application of the microlecture and its effects in the junior high school history teaching. Moreover, this thesis analyses the application strategies in the junior high school history teaching,with focuses on the different teaching emphases of the three grades, combined with the writer’s own experience in the microlecture-making. Besides, this thesis evaluates the effects of the application of the micro-lecture by doing experiments, having investigations and interviews in order to make reflections and avoid the possible demerits. To sum up, as a new teaching mode and a new studying method, the micro-lecture can bring more fun to the class, and make break-through on the difficult and important points in the history learning. As for the teachers, the micro-lecture can be used as a new teaching and research method so that the electronic class preparation, the class teaching and the after-class reflection will be more targeted and effective; for students, the micro-lecture, as a good way of filling learning gaps and consolidating what they have learned, is an extension of the traditional class learning.With the popularity of net products such as cellphone and the wide spread of wireless network, the microlecture- based learning will be more popular. This thesis, on one hand, provides conveniences for the front-line teachers in the making of history micro-lecture; on the other hand, it can be used for references for the study of micro-lecture in junior high school history teaching.
