Because its features meet the needs of secondary vocational education, Work Process Oriented Curriculum Model(hereinafter referred to as WPOCM) is popularized in this kind of education, especially in engineering course research and promotion. The most essential feature of WPOCM is “learning for action, and learning through action”, so it is carried out in an “action system”. Based on this feature, WPOCM has built the course of action system.The traditional teaching methods only focus on imparting knowledge. As a result, it’s very difficult for students to improve practical ability and the ability to solve practical problems. However, the lack of occupational ability directly influences students ‘employment.In view of the problems existed in current situation of marketing major in secondary vocational schools and these students, this paper tries to apply the theory and practice of WPOCM to the practical teaching of the marketing course. On the basis of previous studies, the writer of this paper has already achieved some results by using several methods including: literature review method, case study method, interview method and questionnaire survey method. There’re seven parts in the paper with the introduction, the conclusion and five chapters.The introduction describes the motivation and significance of the research, presents the research method of this paper and defines related concepts.The first chapter is about the origin, development and theory basis of WPOCM, so as to provide the theoretical basis and guide for the actual practice of it.Emphasized on the goal of WPOCM, the second chapter studies its features and compares them with traditional teaching method.The third chapter studies the theoretical strategy of marketing course development under WPOCM, including the current situation and problems of this course in secondary vocational schools, course development principles, steps, and the main factors that affect the development.The fourth chapter focuses on the exploration, practice and implementation of the course development.Chapter Five analyzes the effect of this course development, and the difficulties in the learning situation design and team learning effect evaluation.The conclusion part is to summarize the research and draw the conclusion. Firstly, WPOCM is suitable for the theory and practice of marketing major in secondary vocational schools. Secondly, WPOCM takes the students as the main body and improve their learning initiative. Thirdly, the application of WPOCM can achieve a good connection between theory and practice of marketing major in secondary vocational schools. Then, the application of WPOCM helps to improve students’ comprehensive vocational ability. Students will master the related work skills after graduation. Finally, the inadequacy and further direction of the research are pointed out.
