| More than 20 years monitoring of students physical health shows that with the development of science and technology, people are getting richer and richer, yet followed by the young generation’s worse and worse health situation. Nowadays, students’ life style has been changing greatly with the widespread computer and smart phone. Books and sports are taken placed by playing computer games, surfing on the internet and watching videos etc., resulting in the poor health. College students are the future of our nation, so it is quite necessary to care about their physical health. How to improve their physical quality through physical education is a thorny subject, but for educators, we have to deepen our reform and make it perfect.According to the “national student physical health standard†and adopting to the literature material law, constitution test method, questionnaire survey method, statistics summarizing, the studies shows:Comprehensive physical fitness test and analysis of the investigation of the status quo of the students’ physical exercise illustrate that the health level of HBCIT students is quite low, which is in accordance with their exercising habit. Health situation is in proportion to exercising situation.This article, in the view of a PE educator, tries to find out some ways to help improve the health situation of HBCIT students.1. Making morning exercises a regular system: to nominate full-time PE teacher to supervise morning exercises.2. Making setting-up exercises(during the break between classes) a regular system: students as a whole have to attend to it, supervised by their assistant and PE teacher.3. Initiating extra physical exercises: part of the exercises has to be arranged in formal PE class as required, with special supervisors.4. Initiating activities that can inspire students to exercise: to open stadium during spare time, to arrange various games and to provide facilities for students.5. Initiating contests: to arrange all sorts of contests among different majors or different colleges, making students attend to them actively. |
