Learning motivation is to create and maintain individual learning activities, and learning activities towards a certain target, an internal mental state to meet some learning needs, is a key factor to directly promote students’ learning activities. But the survey showed widespread lack of student interest in learning, not motivated to learn, not even willing to study, and students can take the initiative to learn a very small proportion. How to improve students’motivation has become an important-issue of school education. Studies have shown that self-efficacy, social support, competition and other factors will affect the motivation, and some scholars put forward some suggestions and comments to improve the motivation of the practice. But few studies have addressed the empirical study of learning motivation and measure for motivation effect. In view of this, this study of a high school in Weihai, Shandong Province, the first year of the two parallel classes were tested, set up the experimental group and the control group, adopted a series of incentive interventions in the experimental group, such as the arrangement of psychological courses, graduation invitation to speak to the class, set the competition mechanism and so on. The intervention results were statistically analyzed and measured by questionnaires and the "Learning Motivation Scale." revised by Chi Liping, Xin Ziqiang. Two months after the intervention, measurements showed that motivation in the experimental group (47 people) had significantly improved than the control group(50 people), and extrinsic motivation to improve significantly. Survey results show that different intervention methods will cause the changes of students’learning motivation. Therefore, the following conclusions:(1) Incentives of this study will help improve the senior grade one students learning motivation(2) Lecture to students learning motivation incentive effect is the most direct and effective, but of short duration; psychological curriculum effect more lasting; establish competitors and set up incentive programs effect is more obvious.
