Since the twenty-first Century, science education in our country has been based on the improvement of students’ scientific literacy. On the basis of teaching knowledge, chemistry teachers should pay more attention to the cultivation of chemical ideas, scientific methods and positive emotional aspects. It is said that wisdom is better than knowledge. The tortuous process of the formation of theoretical knowledge, such as chemical concepts and principles, is recorded in the history of chemistry. In addition, the hard course and the scientific quality of the chemists who are constantly looking for ways to discover the laws underlying the chemical phenomena are recorded in the history of chemistry. The scientists’ process of exploring, their way of thinking and research methods are shining the light of wisdom. And it provides valuable wealth for future generations to explore the unknown world. The chemical history education has the ineffable significance in improving the students’ scientific literacy and humanistic quality.In the past 30 years, the majority of scholars are mostly focused on the function of chemical history education, the statistical analysis of historical materials in the textbooks and the ways or methods of chemical history education. However, the research on the integration of the theory of chemical history education and the practical teaching is relatively few. Chemistry history education is of great significance to the middle school chemistry teaching. It is necessary to explore the suitable point in order to better serve the chemistry teaching preferably.The text analysis method and the investigation method are used in the research to analyze the content of chemistry history in senior high school chemistry textbooks and the actual situation of chemical history education into the chemistry teaching respectively. By analyzing the textbook, we can conclude that different versions of the textbook’s content arrangement is distinctive. Compared with the textbook in the past, it has a significant improvement. On the historical date, not only its content is rich, but also its forms are various. It provides a lot of help for the achieving of the emotional attitude. And also it provides good teaching materials for teachers. The number of the historical data is large, but it’s also used to be supplementary material. The content of the historical data is complete, but it’s only simple list, which results in that it can’t play a proper role. Compared with foreign textbooks, it shows that its content doesn’t has a good link with modern society. Besides, the problems of obscure exploring nature are still in existence. However, the survey on chemistry history education in teaching implementing shows that most teaches are agree with chemistry history’s teaching function, and students have an interest in the history of chemistry. Also some teachers have started to attach great importance to the education of chemistry history. It still exists some problems, such as the low chemistry history education status, the biased function using, and the slightly single teaching methods. The research shows that the situation of chemical history education into chemistry teaching is not optimistic. By this taken, it mainly lies in the evaluation system, teaching resources and teachers’ literacy.In view of this, this paper puts forward that teachers should change the traditional concept, strengthen their own knowledge reserves, improve the comprehensive quality. Besides, the related education department should pay attention to the training of teachers, especially the cultivation of college students, and they should enrich the curriculum resources so that teachers and students can find the information they needed and so on. On this basis, combined with the specific cases, the author puts forward some strategies on how to integrate the history of chemistry into chemistry teaching. In the hope that it can provide reference for the research and practice of chemistry teaching by using the history of chemistry.
