Cooperative teaching method can improve the quality and ensure the efficiency of teaching, which has been widely used in various stages of education in different subjects. The method advocates using group cooperative learning method to cultivate students’ way of thinking, improve communicative competence, team consciousness and cooperation. This learning form can not only avoid the boring classroom teaching, but also stimulate students’ interest in learning, to meet the new curriculum with full spirit. Cooperative teaching method regards students as the master in classroom, which has changed the traditional teaching dictation mode, and it provides a wider space for students so that they can improve their talents, learning ability and practical ability of the mining. Group cooperation has become an indispensable modern teaching method.In June 2001, a new round of basic education curriculum reform started in China. “Outline of Basic education curriculum reform” pointed out that we must change the situation of emphasizing on learning and rote too much and encourage students to participate actively, what’s more, the teachers must help the students to be interested in exploring, train students’ capacity to collect and collate information, develop their abilities of analyzing and solving problems and the ability of cooperation. Therefore, under the guidance of the new curriculum reform, cooperative learning, as a new teaching strategy, has been applied in the classroom by more and more teachers. Then the teachers should consider how to fuse cooperative learning and the teaching of history together better and let the students master the effective methods of studying history to learn history happily. The author combines his own teaching experience and uses the method of literature review, case analysis method and questionnaire method to fuse group cooperative learning and the teaching of history integration in-depth study, then explores how to apply group cooperative learning in history teaching in junior middle school to improve the students’ interest in learning history and teaching efficiency.In this paper, we first introduce the topic of the research background, research purpose and significance of the research. Under the background of the new curriculum reform, traditional history classroom teaching mode has been unable to adapt to the new requirements in the new period, in this case, a new teaching method is required for completing the transfer. Then, the author introduces the group cooperative learning theory and related knowledge and analyzes the research status at home and abroad. At present, there are few searches about group cooperative learning in the teaching of history of literature in our country, most of the searches mainly concentrates on moths, Chinese, English and other subjects; thirdly, the author does a empirical investigation to find the problems that exist in application of group work in history class, finally, the author puts forward opinions to solve these problems. The application of cooperative method in the teaching of history in our country provides a certain theoretical basis and practical value, is conducive to the group cooperation in the further development of our educational career.
